Brief Description: 1. The Faculty of Medicine at Kuwait University invites applications for Full Professor position for the Department of Biochemistry for the academic year 2017/2018. 2. The faculty members are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; 3. participate in committee(s) and other activities for the development of the department; 4. build an independent research program, which complements and enhances ongoing research activities in the related field and leads to publication and external funding, as well as to provide service to the department, the college, the university, and the community. Eligibility Required: 1. Specialty: Protein Biochemist with expertise in protein structure, Bioinformatics Proteomics (one) Lipid Biochemistry with expertise in Lipidomics and metabolomics (One) 2. Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctoral degree (PhD) in Biochemistry in the area of: 1. Lipid Biochemistry, lipidomics and metabolomics 2. Protein structure, Bioinformatics and proteomics 3. Applicants should have teaching experience preferably in a prominent medical school. 4. Full command of English language is required. 5. Applicant should have a strong and productive research publication record in reputable International journals as commensurate with the rank. 6. Licensed physician scientists are especially welcome and a joint clinical appointment is possible Required Materials: 1.
