The State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (Macau University of Science and Technology) was formally established on January 25, 2011 upon approval from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. It is so far the only State Key Laboratory specifically in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine over the country.
The State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine will be mainly responsible for performing pioneering quality research and discovering novel drugs from Chinese medicines. The Laboratory is strongly triving for conducting original innovative researches, acquiring intellectual properties, nurturing talent young scientists for Chinese medicine research, and expanding high-level international academic collaborations as its goals. Synergistic applications of the multi-disciplinary and cutting-edge technologies are particularly encouraged so as to establish the most innovative and common scientific technological platforms for quality research of Chinese medicines and new drug discovery.
To cope with the academic developmental plan, we are now inviting applications for full-time teaching positions of the following professional fields:
Job Specification
(1) Authentication of Chinese Medicines, Medical Botany, and /or Resources of Medical Plants (Being able to deliver Unique Processing Methods of Chinese Medicines is preferable)
(2) Acupuncture and Moxibustion and /or Clinical Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Being able to deliver Orthopedics and Traumatology of traditional Chinese Medicines is preferable)
(3) Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseases, Synopsis of the Golden Chamber and /or Doctrine of Epidemic Febrile Diseases (Being able to deliver Doctrines of Traditional Chinese Medicine is preferable)
(4) Pathobiology (Being able to deliver Human Anatomy, Physiology and /or Pharmacology is preferable)
Teaching Medium: Chinese (Mandarin) and English
Requirements
- An earned Doctorate Degree from a reputable university;
- Proven sound record of academic achievements in quantitative and qualitative research;
- Professional experience in related disciplines. (Preferably with overseas teaching or researching experiences).
Remuneration Package
The level will be determined by the academic qualifications, professional experience and current position. Staff shall be entitled to medical benefits, annual leave, provident fund, other allowance and overseas study opportunities or on job training program provided by the University.
