Position Description: Continuing full-time appointment
Are you an enthusiastic Lecturer in Nursing with the desire to contribute to the professional preparation of nurses?
The School of Health is responsible for learning and teaching in the areas of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Humanitarian & Community Studies, Health Science, and Child and Family Health. Our programs are specifically designed to cater for health professionals and community service workers requiring formal qualifications. Successful completion of the nursing program enables students to apply to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for registration as a Registered Nurse.
As a Lecturer in Nursing you are a member of a course team which contributes to the educational and professional preparation of pre-registration and post-graduate nursing students through provision of instruction in the theory and practice of professional nursing and will be expected to contribute to at least one specialist clinical area – for example, mental health, acute care, medical-surgical, renal, community-based, rural and remote.
To be successful you will need to have a current nursing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and attainment of or working toward a Master's Degree in Nursing.
