Assistant Professors / Associate Professors for new engineering diploma in biotechnology

 

University College Zealand (UCSJ) establishes a new engineering diploma in biotechnology in Kalundborg and therefore we are looking for colleagues who have pioneering spirit and will help to create the best biotech education. You will be part of the team that will form an engaging professional environment close to the Danish biotech industry like you have to work with our first class of students to create a strong social study of a new training center.  

 

The new degree program in biotechnology has been developed in close cooperation with the users field in Kalundborg, and this interaction affects the students in both projects, single and internship will come close on the surrounding biotech companies. This interaction will be crucial, not least your education and your relationships, but also the students' future prospects.  

 

As an important role model for the students, we expect that you can put yourself into the UCSJ's objectives to have the students in the center, creating vibrant campus environments and engaging lessons.  

 

We are looking for assistant professors / lecturers who can:  

  • Teach mathematics and statistics at the undergraduate level in Danish and English. Preferably supplemented with experience in areas such as chemical engineering / chemical unit operations, statistical design of experiments and fermentation.  

  • Teach general and organic chemistry at the undergraduate level in Danish and English. Preferably supplemented with experience in areas such as chemical engineering / chemical unit operations, fermentation, or analytical chemistry.  

 

Primary tasks of the posts:  

  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching at BSc of theoretical, laboratory and project-based.  

  • Participate in the establishment of teacher teams and building educational environment.  

  • Participate in recruitment activities including bridge building for youth education and practical training.  

  • Engage in research and development projects to support the training and the building of the academic environment.  

  • Filling the role of project / process supervisor.  

  • Solving ad hoc assignments and student-related activities.  

 

Secondary tasks for positions:  

  • Development of continuing training activities in cooperation with the users field.  

  • Establishing a network of biotech environment both locally and regionally.  

 

qualifications  

  • Relevant master's degree, preferably supplemented with a Ph.D.  

  • Work experience in engineering and the like biotechnological production.  

  • Experience in teaching and engineering education is an advantage.  

  • The ability to cooperate, be solution-oriented and participate in projects.  

  • English fluently.  

 

Applicants with a different profile, but who have an interest in being a part of the training, who possess skills in general in education in the natural and technical sciences and engineering graduates are also invited to apply when the Center for Engineering is being established with regard to other activities, for example, research and development and continuing education.

Wage and employment  

The posts are current agreement on its territory.  

Full time or another by appointment.
