The National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway), seeks to appoint an academic leader and scholar to become the Established Chair in Nursing at NUI Galway.
Nursing and Midwifery holds a special place in the university, as it not only educates graduates to become healthcare professionals but also fosters a vibrant teaching and research environment. NUI Galway has a well recognised reputation for producing excellent graduates for the Nursing and Midwifery professions.

Applications are now sought for an Established Chair in Nursing. The Chair will be expected to promote research and teaching excellence. The post holder will provide leadership in multidisciplinary projects, teaching and postgraduate supervision, publications, research grants and professional, public and civic leadership engagement. Demonstrated qualities of academic leadership, strategic thinking, change management, and staff mentorship are required for the post. The capacity to build relationships not only within the School, but also with other academic disciplines in the University will be vital to the success of the new post holder.

Salary:
€106,515 to €136,275 p.a.
(This appointment will be made on the Established Professor scale in line with current Government pay policy)
(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)
