Faculty Member, Dentistry (Periodontics) The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Periodontics. The successful candidate will be required to deliver didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching; supervise student research projects; initiate, lead and participate in research activities; compete successfully for external funding to support this research program; and undertake relevant administrative activities including meetings and committee work. Opportunity to engage in the College’s faculty practice clinic is also available. We seek candidates who have graduate specialty training in Periodontics at the Masters or PhD level or equivalent; an interest and ability to engage in scholarly activities as evidenced by established or developing research initiatives; a strong or emerging research program; demonstrated effective classroom teaching skills and mentorship; a minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience in periodontics; experience in treating medically complex patients; and effective interpersonal and communication skills. Preference will be given to those who have passed the National Dental Specialty Examination in Periodontics administered by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and are certified by the American Board of Periodontology. Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CDSS) and are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Saskatchewan licensing requirements: http://www.saskdentists.com/licensing .
