The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for the following appointments in
the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The Centre offers an
undergraduate BSc (Nursing) programme and also enrolls postgraduate students at Master and
Doctorate levels. Appointments will be made on a three-year contract basis in the first instance.
Assistant Professor/Associate Professor
Assistant Professor
Applicants should:
1. Possess PhD in Nursing or a related discipline from reputable university.
2. Be eligible for registration with the Singapore Nursing Board
3. Have an evidence of high quality teaching and learning experience at a tertiary level and
ability to contribute to team teaching in the Department’s undergraduate and graduate
programs.
4. Have an evidence of involvement in, or awareness of, contemporary trends in teaching and
learning and evidence-based nursing practice and research.
Associate Professor
In addition to the above qualifications, applicants should also:
1. Have an evidence of an emerging or established record of research and publication which
complements the Department’s current research profile.
2. Have demonstrated capacity to engage in related research and develop individual and
collaborative research projects.
3. Have an evidence of successful participation in grant applications, including collaborative
research.
4. Have evidence of scholarship in teaching and research including the supervision of
students in higher degrees programs.
5. Have an evidence of professional leadership, and the capacity to engage and provide
strategic leadership in accordance with the operational plan of the Department.
Preference will be given to applicants with expertise/interest in Community Care, Aged Care,
Oncology, Palliative Care, Critical Care, and Medical-Surgical Nursing.
