Home to four specialist schools - Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, and Leicester School of Pharmacy - the faculty educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to lives, health, wellbeing, communities and society.

Role
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our expanding Physician Associate team. The post is aimed at a person wanting to increase their teaching and programme management experience and skills. The post should attract a person seeking progression, or new challenge at Senior Lecturer level. You will be engaged primarily with our postgraduate Physician Associate Studies programme as the Programme Lead, managing its effective delivery and development. You will have the opportunity to develop professional academic and scholarly activity related to the profession. As a Senior Lecturer we would expect the candidate to develop and lead on projects as well as have experience in academic leadership. There will also be opportunities to contribute to the undergraduate Medical Science, Nutrition and BiomedicalĀ Science programmes.
Ideal Candidate
You should have an undergraduate degree in a Healthcare or Clinical/Bioscience related discipline or similar. A postgraduate qualification in a professional clinical or Physician related discipline is essential. Experience at some level of academic leadership or of academic development and management is required.
You must be committed to the educational development of healthcare professionals. Having experience of clinical work and work based learning is desirable. It is important that you work to enhance links with health professionals outside the university. You should have experience in contributing to project supervision.
