The challenge
To further strengthen our collaboration project between the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at the University of Bern, we are seeking a motivated PhD candidate for a translational research project. This project aims to identify the wiring and dynamics of neural circuits underlying sleep oscillations and sleep-dependent emotional modulation in rodent including mouse models of major depression, fear/anxiety and schizophrenia. Technical developments will focus on in vivo optogenetics, high density electrophysiology, optical imaging and behavior in freely-moving animals.
Your profile
