It has approximately 390 employees and comprises six clinics, a central administration department as well as the Institute of Oral Biology. The Orofacial Development and Regeneration Unit of the Institute of Oral Biology (research Team of Professor Thimios Mitsiadis) has a vacant Position. Your ResponsibilitiesThe Unit investigates the role of dental stem cells in the formation and regeneration of teeth and other orofacial tissues using human cells and a variety of transgenic mouse models. To this end a combination of histology, stem cell biology, in vivo genetic analyses, in vitro experimental techniques and modern imaging technology is being used. Your ProfileThe successful candidate must have either a B.Sc. degree in Biology and related disciplines or a degree as a lab technician, good experience in cell culture, preferably with stem cells, strong molecular biology background and excellent organizational skills. Aside from the work on research projects, care and maintenance of laboratory appliances are part of the responsibilities. Spoken and written English are also required.
