We are seeking to recruit an ambitious Research Assistant to join the Marciniak lab ( to investigate the role of membrane trafficking in the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis. As part of a research programme led by Dr. Jennifer Dickens, the successful applicant will use a wide range of molecular, cell biological and biochemical techniques to discover novel disease mechanisms.


A good bachelors degree (at least 2.i or equivalent) is necessary. Prior laboratory experience would be desirable, although training will be provided. Requests to undertake a PhD as part of this role would be considered.


Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 4 years in the first instance.


Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
