The University of Cincinnati, Department of Family Medicine is searching for a person with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage the details of several different projects to fill the position of research assistant.  The person must also have strong telephone and in-person communication and interpersonal skills.

 

This person will be assisting Family Medicine faculty in an academic primary care health department setting.   The ideal candidate will be responsible for various aspects of the research process including project management, literature reviews, data collection and entry, data management and analyses. This person must have demonstrated ability to work in teams and independently.  This person must have reliable transportation as work will take place in our community practices as well as the medical campus.

 

We are seeking someone with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, reference software such as Refworks or Endnote.  This person must be able to demonstrate independent work initiative and prioritization abilities and the capability to meet project deadlines.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in social or biological sciences required

 

Preferred qualifications: 1 year working in a social science or clinical research setting. 

 

This position is a full-time, temporary, 12-month appointment with the possibility of long-term employment dependent on grant funding.

 

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
