Summary of Duties
A position is available immediately in the research program of Dr. Min-Ae Song, an Assistant Professor of Practice, in the Environmental Health Sciences at The Ohio State University College of Public Health. The research interests included multi-omics studies to integrate environmental/lifestyle factors, epigenetics, genetics, and biomarkers of exposure to understand how differences among genes and environments aid in identifying biomarkers of effects and ultimately control and prevent disease. Current research includes tobacco use, diet, obesity, and various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma, lung, and colorectal cancers. The researcher will conduct laboratory-based molecular works and data analysis generated from high-throughput methods. More information about the research project can be found here:

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related disciplines with an understanding of population sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience; highly motivated with a strong interest within biology and population sciences using high throughput data; given the transdisciplinary nature of the projects, we expect candidates with a range of background and disciplinary training could potentially qualify; candidates should have research experience using the statistics and/or bioinformatics tools; experience in the relevant academic research setting; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or OPT holders; oral and written communication skills in English; the applicant should be collegial and be able to work well in a cross-disciplinary team as well as having the ability to work independently; excellent organization skills.

Desired Qualifications
Experience in molecular epidemiological studies.

Target Salary $12.00 - $20.00 Hourly
