Research Assistant in Neuronal Assays in the Department of Biomedical Science

Candidates are invited to apply for a newly created Research Assistant post, joining the research group of Professor Bazbek Davletov to work on a project directed towards cell-based detection of botulinum neurotoxins. You will be responsible for neuronal cell culture and will perform cell assays to evaluate botulinum protease activity. This post will contribute to translation of basic biology findings into biomedical applications.

Applicants must have an MSc or PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant biological discipline along with significant laboratory experience and a solid knowledge of neuronal cell biology, cell culture and microscopy techniques.
