Applications are invited for a Research Assistant / Research Associate in Medical Statistics. The successful candidate will join the team of statisticians in the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit-Cancer theme, within the Department of Oncology, part of the School of Clinical Medicine at the University of Cambridge.

 

The post will involve developing new methods for the design and analysis of clinical trial data and then support their implementation in clinical trials. In addition, the post holder will be required to produce interim and final reports for CCTU-CT studies and participate in their publication.

 

Applicants should have a degree in medical statistics or relevant discipline and hold a PhD or about to be awarded a PhD in Medical Statistics.

 

Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.

 

Appointment at the level of Research Associate will be conditional upon you receiving your PhD within six months of taking up the post.
