£27511 to £30942 per annum, (pro rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (£30942 with relevant PhD).

The purpose of this role is to support digital pathology projects and other research activities in the Nottingham breast pathology research group. Successful candidate will have specific responsibility in research activity in the group including supervising PhD students, publications, grants proposal writing. The appointee will be expected to plan and conduct research work using appropriate approaches, methodologies and techniques.

This post is to support a collaborative project that involves digital pathology and application of Artificial intelligence techniques and deep learning approaches to develop novel diagnostic and prognostic tools.  The appointee will join an expanding and dynamic breast pathology research team within the University of Nottingham. Last year the team published over 40 articles in peer reviewed journals and obtained more than £3m funds. The appointees will have the opportunity to use their initiative and creativity to drive research projects, develop research methods and extend their research portfolio as well as supporting the existing activities in the group. 

Candidates should have a PhD (or near completion) or equivalent in molecular pathology or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area.

This is a full time, fixed term post until 06 June 2021. Job share arrangements may be considered.
