We are seeking applications for this exciting joint post between the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit - Cancer Theme (CCTU-CT) and the MRC Biostatistics Unit (BSU). We seek a statistician with interests in adaptive trial design research who wants to develop their trials methodology and statistical experience by joining the MRC BSU/CCTU-CT team are encouraged to apply. The role involves the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials, covering many different types of cancer. The vacancy provides an exciting opportunity to make important contributions to clinical research, in an internationally renowned centre of excellence.

The CCTU-CT is part of the NCRI Cancer Clinical Trials Units Group leading clinical trials and associated research led by investigators at the CRUK Cambridge Centre. It takes trials from initial ideas and design, through conduct and analysis, to final publication and dissemination of results.

The MRC Biostatistics Unit is one of Europe's leading biostatistics research institutions. It's focus is to deliver new analytical and computational strategies based on sound statistical principles for the challenging tasks facing biomedicine and public health.

Candidates should have a post-graduate qualification in medical statistics with previous experience in clinical trials.
