About the role

In this role you will be working with Dr Kogularamanan Suntharalingam on an ESPRC funded research project titled “Immuno-chemotherapeutic Metal Complexes for Cancer Stem Cell-Directed Therapy”. You will be responsible for personal and collaborative research, contributing to project deliverables, journal papers and conferences presentations.

As an experienced researcher you will assist in determining the direction of the programme in line with the research goals. This will include elements of planning and project management.

About you

You will have (or be close to completion) a PhD in a relevant subject as well as expertise in bioinorganic chemistry, in particular the development of metal complexes with anticancer properties.

We are looking for a self-starter with a passion for the subject matter. With a good analytical and problem solving capability, you will also have excellent communication skills. You will be pro-active and be motivated by working toward the emergence of new understanding within the field.
