Applications are invited for the above post based at the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology, which is part of the Lifespan and Population Health Unit within the School of Medicine.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary research team working together with citizen scientists to deliver the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded RAPID Eczema Trials research programme. You will undertake a range of research activities focussed on qualitative research techniques to support the development of clinical trials interventions, process evaluation of the research programme and the development and delivery of knowledge mobilisation activities. This will include (but is not limited to) contributing to ethics submissions and research protocols, setting up and conducting qualitative interviews, analysing interview data and planning and delivering knowledge mobilisation activities and engagement events.

Candidates must have a PhD (or be about to obtain one) in applied health research/health psychology or other relevant subject area or the equivalent in professional qualifications and experience in research area. Experience in qualitative research methods and the application of such methods is essential and experience of intervention development, process evaluation and engagement with stakeholders would all be valued. Key skills required include excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others. Applications are particularly welcomed from those with a dermatology nursing or health psychology background.

This role is available on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2025. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 18.13 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered. Please note due to the nature of the research programme, there may be requests for occasional evening/weekend working.
