The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and talented individual to join the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences as a Research Fellow in the Rossjohn Laboratory. Part of a broad collaborative network that includes lead national and international researchers, the Rossjohn laboratory has provided profound insight into T-cell immunology, specifically defining the basis of key immune recognition events by T-cells. The laboratory is also now exploring opportunities with industry for the development of new therapies to treat celiac disease.

The Rossjohn laboratory seeks to build upon current findings and ongoing research and presents a unique opportunity for a Research Fellow to conduct research independently, and to provide guidance to junior lab members, within the scope of their research expertise.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • A PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Immunology or a related discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualifications and research experience in the area.
  • Ability to solve complex problems by using discretion, innovation by exercising diagnostic skills
  • A strong research track record including published papers in the field of protein biochemistry
