Role & Superannuation rate: Academic - 9.5% superannuation


This is an exciting opportunity to research a major contemporary public health issue, undertake highly policy-relevant research for two countries simultaneously, grow your quantitative research skills (e.g. epidemiological and econometric methods such as fixed effects) and writing skills.

 

You will hold a PhD or near completion of PhD in relevant area or equivalent professional qualification and have a demonstrated track record in independent and team-based research in econometrics, epidemiology or similar discipline.

 

The research fellow will initially undertake natural experiment analyses to determine the impact of Health Star Rating (HSR) food labels in Australia and NZ from 2013, on consumer purchasing behaviour, industry product formulation and their combined effect on healthiness of population diet. Other research questions will be address as new policies and programs arise.
