The Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a qualified individual at the Assistant rank in the Researcher Series to join the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery.

Candidates must have a Ph.D in Neuroscience or Biomedical Engineering. Candidates should have experience in research areas that include but are not exclusive to basic and applied research in neural activity understanding brain function and behavior, and understanding the effects of brain stimulation at a neural level. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in neural signal analysis, with specific applications in the field of neurological disorders. Previous experience in Neurotechnology is encouraged.

The incumbent will design studies, prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals, and assist or independently prepare and submit grant proposals. Clinical translation is one of our major goals. This position will involve supervising trainees including undergraduate, graduate, medical students, as well as post-doctoral fellows.
