Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy

UCC wishes to appoint a highly motivated candidate to the role of Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Reporting to the Head of the School of Pharmacy, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of research led teaching, assessment and examining on courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Engagement and past experience in internationally competitive research in the field, including supervision of PhD students, peer-reviewed publications and generation of research income, is essential. External collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Industry, the Pharmacy profession and other research active institutes will be encouraged. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to play a role in developing and delivering new programmes for national and international markets, this may include international travel.


The School of Pharmacy is located in the Cavanagh Pharmacy building and is part of the College of Medicine & Health. The vibrant and progressive School offers degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate level and has a strong and dynamic research focus. The School has also been the recipient of an Athena Swan bronze award.

Appointment may be made on the the Senior Lecturer Salary Scale: €68,456 - €95,933 (Scale B). Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
